GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lees-McRae women's tennis Seniors
Pati Vedia Sanchez and
Lina Ngassi Saqout were named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference First Team, announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Sanchez, a Madrid, Spain native, led the Bobcats at the top flight of singles with an overall record of 12-1 and 11-1 in Conference Carolinas contests. Sanchez partnered with Alexa Mazzei at No. 1 doubles and went 9-4 in the spring season. Sanchez and Mazzei collected eight wins at No. 1 doubles for the Bobcats.
Saqout, a Casablanca, Morocco native, joined her fellow classmate on the first team after an overall record of 14-1 and 11-1 in league matches. Saqout joined Caroline Brothers at No. 2 doubles and the pair went 12-3 overall and 9-3 in conference matches.
Lees-McRae women's tennis faces No. 7 Converse in the first round of the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship. The first serve from Sumter, South Carolina is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
