MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — Lees-McRae men's lacrosse tallied seven goals in the third quarter and defeated Mount Olive for the first time in school history on Saturday with the 18-13 Conference Carolinas win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Mount Olive jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but Lees-McRae answered with three goals at the end of the first for the 4-3 advantage.
- Zach Basisty added to the Bobcat lead with a man-up goal at the 13:57 mark of the second quarter. Mount Olive regained the lead at 6-5 with three straight goals.
- Lees-McRae knotted the contest at eight goals with a marker from Cole Morris at the 2:15 mark of the first half.
- Lees-McRae started the scoring in the second half with goals from Cayden Onagi and Morris. The Bobcats led 11-8 and moved the margin to six goals with a goal from Mark Henderson.
- The Bobcats added three more goals in the final frame for the 18-13 win over Mount Olive.
- Morris led the Bobcats with six goals on the afternoon. Onagi followed with five goals and four assists. Basisty, Adam Ross, and Carter Whissell registered two goals apiece.
- Bennett Gibbons went 10-23 from the faceoff with nine ground balls and Alex Epple made a season-high 21 saves in goal for the Bobcats.
