FERRUM, Va. — Courtney Bednarz and
Taylor Murrell tallied four goals apiece, but Lees-McRae women's lacrosse dropped a 16-12 Conference Carolinas game to Ferrum on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Madison Primeau recorded the first goal of the day for the Bobcats and Lees-McRae added two more goals for the 3-1 advantage at the 6:12 mark of the first quarter. Lees-McRae regained the 5-4 lead with 37 seconds left in the first off a goal from Murrell.
- Ferrum used a 5-0 scoring run over the next two periods and held the Bobcats scoreless in the second quarter for the 9-5.
- Primeau stopped the Ferrum run with a goal at 12:04 of the third quarter, but the Panthers tacked on two more goals for the 11-6 margin. Ferrum earned the 16-12 win over Lees-McRae on Saturday.
- Bednarz and Murrell led the Bobcats with goals each. Primeau followed with three goals and two assists. Li Cevallos recorded one goal and one assist for Lees-McRae.
