Megan Knapp Nominated as Conference Carolinas Female Athlete of the Year Finalist

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas announced its 2025-26 Conference Carolinas Female Athlete of the Year nominees this afternoon and Megan Knapp was one of seven finalists this afternoon.

Knapp, a Seville, Ohio native, earned the individual championship at the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Cross Country Championships and became the first Conference Carolinas Runner of the Year since Amanda Cook in 1999. Knapp also earned First-Team All-Conference Carolinas accolades in women's cross country and conference champion in both the Women's 1 Mile and Women's 4000 Meter Distance Medley at the 2026 Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championships. Knapp is also the school record holder in the 5K and 6K distance, both set in 2025.

The Female Athlete of the Year Award is awarded to the most outstanding female student-athlete for the year in the league. Per Director of Athletics votes, nominations will be accepted from member institutions to only include conference-sponsored sports and all nomination information, statistics, and accomplishments are solely based on athletically-related criteria.

The winner of the 2025-26 Conference Carolinas Female Athlete of the Year will be announced on Thursday, July 9.
