Kylie Gutierrez found the back of the net this afternoon as Lees-McRae women's soccer earned the 2-1 win over Emory & Henry.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gutierrez and Aija McHone had shots on goal in the early stages of the first half.
- Eskes buried a pass from McHone in the 17th minute for the 1-0 lead. The Bobcats held the one-goal advantage in the first half.
- The Bobcats pushed their lead to two goals after a free-kick goal from Gutierrez in the 65th minute.
- Emory & Henry cut the deficit to one goal in the 79th minute and had one last chance in the final 20 seconds of the contest.
- Laura Walker collected the win in goal for Lees-McRae with two saves.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae opens Conference Carolinas play on Saturday, September 5 against Belmont Abbey at Tate Field. The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
