Brad Dunn returned to Lees-McRae as the Assistant Director of Athletics - Director of Compliance in July 2024. Dunn previously served as the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach from 2017 to 2022.

Dunn helped the Bobcats double their win total between his first to second season at the helm of the program. Along with the improved win total, Dunn helped the Bobcats establish new program records in points per game (18.43), goals per game (11.93), assists per game (6.50), shots on goal per game (23.14), man-up goals (20), man-down goals (4), caused turnovers (136), caused turnovers per game (9.71), points in a game (39) and goals in a game (24). Furthermore, Dunn helped coach Alec Molander to become the first three-time All-Conference player in the history of the program and saw four of his student-athletes receive Academic All-Conference honors.

Dunn put together a 2-7 record in his first season as the head coach at his alma mater. Highlighting Dunn's first year was a 20-7 victory over Emmanuel College on April 7. The 20 goals scored by the Bobcats tied the program record for the most goals in a single game. During that game, junior attackman Alec Molander scored 10 points to power the Bobcat offense and a few days later he was named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for his effort. After the season, Dunn saw two of his student-athletes land spots on the Academic All-Conference Team, and Molander was named the Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Dunn spent the past two years as the Head Coach of the Coastal Carolina club lacrosse program. In his first season as a Chanticleer, Dunn led the team to a Southeast Lacrosse Conference (SELC) Northeast Region Title and a trip to the SELC playoffs.  The 2017 program also placed eight players on the All-SELC team under Dunn's tutelage.  The Chant offense averaged just under 10 goals per game (9.88) more than doubling that average from the previous year.

Prior to arriving at Coastal Carolina, Dunn had a four-year stint as the Head Lacrosse Coach at Hidden Valley High School. During his tenure as the Head Coach at Hidden Valley, Dunn led the program to two consecutive Virginia High School Club Lacrosse State Tournaments (2014, 2015).  Dunn worked with the Board of Directors to earn the program's Virginia High School League (VHSL) membership.  In Hidden Valley's first year in VHSL competition, the Titans qualified for the 4A South Regional Tournament.  Dunn developed multiple All-District players in his time at Hidden Valley as well.

Dunn was announced as the new Bobcat Head Coach on September 7, 2017. Dunn, a Lees-McRae graduate, played lacrosse for the Bobcats from 2002-2006.
