Biography

2020 Season (Sophomore) - As a sophomore, Gast appeared in all 16 games for the Bobcats...Serving as the team's primary leadoff hitter, Gast hit .224 with seven runs scored, five doubles, and six runs driven in during the abbreviated 2020 season...Had four multi-hit games as a sophomore, including a 2-for-3 effort against #1 Young Harris on February 29. 

2019 Season (Freshman) - Gast appeared in 41 games for the Bobcats during her freshman campaign in 2019...Gast, who spent most of the time at shortstop for Lees-McRae, hit .314 with 16 RBI and 20 runs scored...Additionally, Gast served as the team's main leadoff hitter and because of that she ended the season with a team-high 137 at-bats...Totaled 14 multi-hit outings on the season...Had a pair of three-hit outings against Southern Wesleyan and Converse...Hit .300 in the Conference Carolinas Tournament to help the Bobcats capture their first championship in program history...For her effort in the league tournament, Gast was named to the All-Tournament team...Swiped four bases...Drove in a season-high six runs in a game against Young Harris in mid-March.
