The Lees-McRae College Lady Bobcats concluded it's weekend road
trip with a 2-0 record, defeating Coker College 3-0, (31-29, 30-28,
30-28) to improve to 21-7, (13-2 CVAC). The Lady Bobcats will
finish the season with five consecutive home games.
Coker gave the first place Lady Bobcats all they could handle
with each game going the distance and being decided by two points.
Coker led 28-23 in game three as they looked to force a fourth,
however the Lady Bobcats came back with seven straight points to
earn the sweep.
Preseason AVCA All American Lacie Smith (pictured) led the way
for the Lady Bobcats with 20 kills and 12 digs. Fellow preseason
All American Amanda Huffaker contributed two solo blocks and two
block assists while Trisha Reese and Lauren Dickover shared the
playmaking duties with 20 and 18 assists respectively.
The Lady Bobcats will begin their five game home stand with St.
Andrews Presbyterian College next Friday, October 20th. Game time
is set for 7:00p.m.
