Preseason AVCA All American Lacie Smith pounded 14 kills to lead
the Lees-McRae College Lady Bobcats volleyball team to a 3-0,
(30-19, 30-21, 30-18) win over St. Andrew's Presbyterian College in
Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference action Friday night.
Smith (pictured) would hit .480 in the three game match,
contributing nine digs and three service aces in the Lady Bobcats
fifth straight win. Daviana Metti hit .500 in the match, adding
nine kills while Caty Honey contributed eight. Dani Usedom had a
team high 15 digs while Trisha Reese and Lauren Dickover shared the
playmaking duties with 18 and 13 assists respectively. Preseason
AVCA All American Amanda Huffaker dominated the net for the Lady
Bobcats with two solo blocks and four block assists.
The Lady Bobcats improve to 22-7 (14-2 CVAC) while SAPC evens
their record at 16-16 (9-7 CVAC). Lees-McRae will return to action
Saturday October 21 when they host Coker College at 3:00p.m.
