The Lees-McRae College Bobcats basketball team won its second
consecutive game, defeating UNC-Pembroke Braves 76-72 in the first
game of the Bobby Lutz Invitational held at Pfeiffer University.
The Bobcats improve to 2-1 (1-0 CVAC) while the Braves fall to
0-2.
The Bobcats got a full team effort as nine of the eleven Bobcats
who saw time hit the score sheet. Henry Williams (pictured left)
led the attack with 30 points, half of which came from behind the
three point arc. Aaron Dugger poured in ten for the Bobcats while
Bruno Daliu went four for four from the field and added a free
throw for nine points. Darius Roper was also perfect from the
field, inlcuding a three pointer on his only attempt, to contribute
seven points.
Jonathan Hart led the Braves with 20 while Cortez Brown and
Jarrell Hunter added 13 and 10 respectively.
The Bobcats will match up against host Pfeiffer University
Saturday at 5:00pm in the Championship game.
