HIGH POINT, N.C. . - Lees McRae's Nandor Solymosi (3-5 overall,
2-0 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference
Carolinas men's tennis Player of the Week during week number two in
the 2009 season.
The sophomore sensation Solymosi, led the Bobcats to a 1-1
week.
Solymosi won both his singles and doubles matches during the week,
against Coker he won 6-3, 6-1 at the number one singles position.
At the number two doubles position he and Grahman Battle won
8-3.
Against Division I opponent, The Citadel, Solymosi again won his
singles match at the number one position 6-0, 6-3. The win was the
second time this season Solymosi has defeated a Division I singles
player at the top spot in the lineup. At the number three doubles
position Solymosi teamed up again with Battle to win their doubles
set 9-8.
Solymosi will put his four match individual win streak on the line
Wednesday as the Bobcats host Lincoln Memorial at 2 p.m.
