INDIANAPOLIS --- Freshman midfielder Kaitlyn
Kerrigan (Lakewood Ranch, Fla.) is ranked fourth in the nation in
assists in the latest edition of the NCAA Division II women's
soccer statistics, announced NCAA officials Tuesday.
Lees-McRae (9-3, 5-2 CC) has won six of its last seven matches,
including a pivotal 1-0 shutout at Queens on Saturday that
propelled the Lady Bobcats into a tie for second in the Conference
Carolinas standings. The Lady Bobcats enter the week ranked 22nd in
the nation in scoring offense (2.58), 34th in winning percentage
(0.75), and 70th in goals against average (1.0).
Kerrigan has been a tremendous part of the Lady Bobcats' success
this season, entering the week ranked fourth in the nation in both
total assists (nine) and helpers per match (0.82). Junior
midfielder Brooke Santerre (Port Republic, Md.) has been on a tear
of late, tallying six goals and four assists in her last six
matches to vault into a tie for 52nd in the nation in total points
(18). Santerre is also ranked 26th in total assists (six), 35th in
helpers per match (0.5), and 61st in points per contest (1.5).
MaryBeth Sullivan (Greensboro, N.C.) enters the week tied with
Santerre in total points (52nd/18), total assists (26th/six),
helpers per match (35th/0.5), and points per contest (61st/1.5)
after tallying her sixth helper of the season on the match-winner
against Queens. Vickie Rich (Arlington Heights, Ill.) is ranked
61st in points per match (1.5), 71st in total points (17), and 76th
in helpers per contest (0.42), while senior goalkeeper Brittany
Bolton (Roanoke, Va.) is also ranked 77th in goals against average
(1.04).
Lees-McRae returns to the pitch on Tuesday when the Lady Bobcats
travel to Wingate, N.C. for a 7 p.m. non-conference matchup with
Wingate University.
