AUGUSTA, GA. - The No. 15 Lees-McRae College men's tennis team
opened their season with a loss, 6-3, to No. 26 Augusta State.
The Bobcats earned their first point at the number two doubles
position where Shawn Sumner and Steve Karendal won 8-4.
In singles, No. 22 Nandor Solymosi started his singles season
with a 6-1, 6-1 win at number one to give the Bobcats their second
point, and Graham Battle earned the team's final point of the match
with a 5-7, 6-4, 2-1 ret. win at number six singles.
The Bobcats will host Division I UNC-Asheville on February 7th
for their next match.
