LAKE WORTH, FLA. - The Lees-McRae women's softball team dropped
a nonconference doubleheader to Palm Beach Atlantic 8-0 and 3-0
Thursday night.
The Lady Bobcats are not 1-5 on their road trip to Florida and
are now 11-23 overall.
In game one, Palm Beach put up four runs in the first, three in
the second and a single run in third to claim the 8-0 win.
Lees-McRae's only hits in the contest came from Veronica Ollier
and Mage West. West was also saddled with loss for the Lady
Bobcats in the circle.
In game two, Palm Beach notched two runs in the second and an
insurance run in the sixth to earn the 3-0 win. The Lees-McRae
offense stalled and was held hitless for the second time this
season.
Bryce Campbell took the loss in six innings of work allowing two
earned runs.
Lees-McRae will look to wrap up their trip Friday with a
doubleheader against Florida Tech.
