HIGH POINT, N.C. --- Lees-McRae College forward
Vickie Rich (Arlington Heights, Ill.) has been named the Conference
Carolinas women's soccer Player of the Week, announced the league
office Tuesday. Rich netted a pair of match-winners against Mars
Hill College and Limestone College to lead the Lady Bobcats to
their third straight victory.
The junior forward has found the back of the net in each of the
last three matches, tallying the deciding strike in each of those
contests to enter the week tied for the team- and conference-lead
with three goals and seven points on the season. Rich has tallied
each of the Lady Bobcats' (3-1, 1-0 CC) three match-winners this
year, leading the team and conference in that category.
Lees-McRae returns to the pitch on Tuesday afternoon when the
Lady Bobcats square off against Belmont Abbey College in Belmont,
N.C. to resume conference play. The match is scheduled to kick off
at 2 p.m.
