Appalachian State Blanks Men's Tennis, 7-0

BOONE, N.C. --- The Lees-McRae men's tennis team fell to Division I rival, Appalachian State, 7-0 at the Deer Valley Racquet Club Sunday morning in Boone, N.C.

The Mountaineers (2-1) claimed their first win of the season by blanking LMC before handing North Carolina A&T a 7-0 loss later in the day. The Bobcats (0-4) played their first contest of 2015.

Joao Araujo challenged Oliver Case in No. 1 singles play while Sebastian Zuhr hung tough at No. 6 singles.

LMC will travel to Asheville, N.C. to battle UNCA at 12 p.m. Feb. 7.
