Men's Lacrosse Falls on Road to Florida Southern

LAKELAND, Fla. --- Sophomore Louis Parks dished out a pair of assists while the Lees-McRae men's lacrosse team fell at Florida Southern, 28-3, Tuesday evening at Bryant Stadium in Lakeland, Fla.

The Mocs (2-5) saw Cody Dyer seize the first quarter with five goals and two assists. The Bobcats (0-5) was led by Dane Carney (Manchester, England); who had a goal on four shots.

FSC ran out to an 8-0 lead in the first 10:45 before Dalton Lamb (Clemmons, N.C.) got LMC on the board with an unassisted goal.

Freshman Jordan Lombardo (York, Pa.) made nine saves in the opening quarter while amassing 15 on the contest. He didn't allow a goal in the fourth quarter.

The Mocs distanced themselves throughout the contest while taking a healthy lead into the third.

Senior Joshua Shingleton (Temecula, Calif.) tallied his first goal of the season at the 8:23 mark in the third while Parks (Mays Landing, N.J.) earned his first of two assists on the night.

Carney bested FSC's Michael Greco in the waning moments of the third.

The Bobcats forced eight turnovers in the fourth while Lamb led the team with a trio of groundballs in the game.

LMC finishes up its Florida road trip with a visit to St. Leo Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. in St. Leo, Fla.
