GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Lees-McRae men's tennis squad dropped a 9-0 decision to Tusculum Monday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex in Greeneville, Tenn.
The Pioneers (4-0) had multiple players pick up two wins each. The Bobcats (0-3) hung tight while the due of Garrett Lakey (North Wilkesboro, N.C.) and Sebastian Zuhr (Burlington, N.C.) fell in No. 2 doubles in the tiebreaker.
The duo lost 9-8 after falling 7-2 in the tiebreak.
Sophomore Gabriel Muniz (Soao, Brazil) dropped an intense match at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-4.
Freshman Cole Douglas-Fields (Asheville, N.C.) was upended 9-7 at No. 5 singles.
LMC treks to Catawba Friday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. in Salisbury, N.C.
