GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team fell on the road at Lander Saturday afternoon by a score of 18-8. The loss moves Lees-McRae's record to 0-4 on the 2020 season. Jackson Galloway led the Bobcats with four goals and one assist in the contest.
Lander began Saturday's contest clicking on all cylinders offensively. The Bearcats scored eight of the nine goals in the first quarter to stake themselves to an early lead. Lander was able to tack on a few more goals to take a 14-3 lead into the halftime intermission.
Lees-McRae came back in the second half and fared much better as it outscored Lander 5-4 over the final two quarters. However, the Bearcats built up a big enough cushion to hold on for 18-8 victory over the Bobcats.
