MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Chowan tallied three first-half goals and four second-half goals en route to clinching a 7-0 win over Lees-McRae in the Conference Carolinas match this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Chowan sprinted out of the gates with a goal in the third minute on a free kick to take the early lead.
- The Hawks added goals in the 21st minute and in the 36th minute to take a 3-0 halftime lead.
- Chowan scored four goals in the second half to clinch the conference win.
- The Hawks finished with a 16-10 edge in shots and a 10-0 advantage in shots-on-goal.
- Joshua Garvilla and M.J. Upchurch combined to make three saves in net for the Bobcats.
FOR THE FOES:
- Toby Sims finished with two goals and an assist to lead Chowan.
- James Randall, Erik Ruiz, Zouhair Bettache, and Thomas Shin also scored for the Hawks.
