Ian McDonald and
Andrew Strohmeyer finished eighth and ninth respectively in the Collegiate Men's Varsity race to lead the men's cycling team, while
Heidi Martin crossed 22nd as the only cyclist from the Lees-McRae women's cycling team, to pace the Bobcats on Day 1 of the 2021 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships.

MEN'S NOTABLES:
- McDonald and Strohmeyer paced the Bobcats in the Collegiate Men's Varsity race, crossing only 25 seconds apart.
- Mike Stocker crossed third for the Bobcats by finishing 17th overall, while Shay Wright posted a 21st-place finish.
- David Kahn and Grayson Wickel were the final two Bobcats to cross the finish line, placing 45th and 46th overall respectively.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Martin crossed 22nd of the 37 cyclists who raced in the Collegiate Women's Varsity race.

The Bobcats will close out the 2021 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships tomorrow at 12:35 p.m. as they take part in the Collegiate Team Relay.
