HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's and women's cycling competed at the NCCX Hendersonville over the weekend.
Ryan Avery and
Tessa Greep earned the individual collegiate Omnium for the Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference this season.
THE BASICS
RACE: North Carolina Cyclocross Hendersonville
NOTABLES:
- On Saturday, Greep took sixth in the Collegiate Women's A race. Anabel Miller and Jordan Austin followed in 10th and 12th place for the Bobcats.
- Ryan Avery placed second in the Men's Collegiate A race on Saturday and posted fourth in Sunday's race.
- Greep jumped four spots in Sunday's Women's A race and collected second in the race. Austin earned sixth on the second day of racing.
- Boden Chenail placed fifth in the CX race on Saturday and followed Avery for the Bobcats. Max Chilsen registered eighth for the Bobcats and Kaleb Toscano rounded out Lees-McRae in the top ten with 10th.
- Peter Swinand recorded 12th place in Saturday's race and Sawyer Widecrantz came in 19th for Lees-McRae in Sunday's race.
- In the season standings, Greep led the standings with 324 total points. Jordan Austin followed in fifth place and Miller rounded out the Bobcats in 10th.
- Avery led the men in the Collegiate Men's A division in the season standings. Chenail, Peter Swinand, and Chilsen took eighth through 10th for the Bobcats.
