Caitlyn Smirne finished with a game-high 11 kills, while
Carlee Allbaugh chipped in a game-high 25 assists, to lead the Lees-McRae women's volleyball team to a straight-sets victory over Barton to clinch their third-consecutive win to start the season. This marks the first time the Bobcats have defeated Barton since 2015.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Smirne paced the Bobcats, while also adding five digs and a service ace.
- Allbaugh also finished with nine digs with a solo block.
- Alivia Larson added five kills and four block assists, while Olivia Ney and Kavanna Held and Kaden Hill combined for 11 kills.
- Lees-McRae held momentum for the majority of the opening set and survived a late run by the Bulldogs to claim the first frame, 25-21.
- The Bobcats jumped out to an early 11-5 lead in set two and scored the last three points, highlighted by back-to-back kills by Smirne, to claim the stanza, 25-21.
- The Bulldogs had one final run left as they opened the third set on a 11-6 run, but Lees-McRae used a 12-3 run to shift back momentum en route to claiming the non-conference victory with a 25-19 win in the third frame.
- Barton held a 34-30 edge in kills, but failed to overcome a 7-1 edge in block by the Bobcats.
FOR THE FOES:
- Allison Gambill led the Bulldogs with a team-high eight kills to go along with 10 digs.
- Caroline Schoonover chipped in seven kills, while Sarah Kirk had a team-high 13 assists.
