HIGH POINT, N.C. – NCAA Division I opponent High Point scored three first-half goals en route to claiming a 5-0 victory over the visiting Bobcats in Lees-McRae's season opener this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- High Point opened the scoring just 39 seconds in the contest on a goal from just inside the 18-yard box.
- After adding a goal on a penalty kick in the 21th minute, the Panthers added another goal in the 33nd minute to claim a 3-0 halftime edge.
- High Point added a pair of insurance markers in the second half to clinch the non-conference victory.
- Anton Sundstrom finished with three saves in 72 minutes in net for the Bobcats, while Joshua Date tallied his first save at Lees-McRae after replacing Sundstrom.
FOR THE FOES:
- M.D. Myers finished with two goals to lead the Panthers.
- Finn McRobb, Sebastian Chalbaud and Alex Abril all registered a goal for High Point.
- Holden Trent was credited with the win for the Panthers

- Today's contest marks the first time the Bobcats have been featured on an ESPN+ broadcast.
