BANNER ELK, N.C. – North Greenville won 25 of 34 total face-offs and outscored the host Bobcats 9-2 in the first quarter en route to claiming a 20-11 victory in the Conference Carolinas opener for both teams this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- J.P. Galloway finished with a team-high four goals to go along with three ground ball and two caused turnovers.
- Tyler Finley chipped in two goals and two assists, while Tyler Flannelly added two goals.
- J.P. Daniels, Ryan Bird, and Ryan Beauchamp also scored.
- After Galloway put the Bobcats ahead with an unassisted goal just over a minute into the contest and evened the score at 2-2 off an assist from Finley just two minutes later, the Crusaders scored seven unanswered to take a 9-2 lead.
- North Greenville scored the opening two goals of the second frame and a final goal with one second left in the half to clinch a 13-5 lead at the halftime break.
- The Crusaders outscored the Bobcats 7-6 in the final two periods to clinch the road victory.
- North Greenville held a 29-21 edge in shots-on-goal and finished 2 of 4 in extra-man opportunities.
- Antonio Cruz and Joshua Csanyi combined to make nine saves in net for Lees-McRae.
FOR THE FOES:
- Devin Napoli finished with six goals and five assists to lead the Crusaders, while Thomas Cecere tallied two goals and four assists.
- Joe Amici and Terry Huffman combined to make 10 saves in net for North Greenville.
