MURFREESBORO, N.C. –
Nursharneem Shamsuddin teamed up with
Sandy Allen to win the #1 doubles and posted a victory in the #3 singles position to lead the Lees-McRae women's tennis to a 4-3 win over host Chowan in the Conference Carolinas opener this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Allen and Shamsuddin won the #1 doubles position with a 6-3 score.
- Shamsuddin won the #3 singles (1-6, 6-4, 6-4), while Laura Ocampo clinched the #5 singles with a 6-1, 6-7, 6-4 victory.
- Tessa Wells earned a win by default, while the team of Ocampo and Wells also won a match by default
