Carlee Allbaugh matched the most assists in a single match since 2007 with 53, while
Caitlyn Smirne and
Alivia Larson finished with 18 and 16 kills respectively, to lead the Lees-McRae women's volleyball team to a four-set victory over Chowan to clinch the Conference Carolinas weekend sweep.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Smirne led the Bobcats with 18 kills to go along with 11 digs, while Larson also chipped in two block assists.
- Lauren Xayavong tallied a game-high 27 digs, while Allbaugh also chipped in 13 digs.
- Kaden Hill added eight kills, a solo block, and a block assist.
- Lees-McRae sprinted out of the gates in the opening set, winning 13 of the first 20 points, and rode the momentum to clinch a 25-22 win in the first set.
- Chowan responded with timely points in the second set and used a late kill and a Bobcat attacking error to clinch a 25-19 win in set two.
- Both teams matched each other point-for-point in the opening minutes of the third stanza until Lees-McRae used a 9-2 run to post a 25-19 win in set three.
- The Bobcats used multiple runs in the fourth set and final kills by Hill and Smirne to clinch the conference weekend sweep with a four-set victory this afternoon.
- Lees-McRae held a 61-48 edge in kills and finished with a 7-3 advantage in blocks.
FOR THE FOES:
- Anixa Rosa-Martinez and Hannah Sladick finished with 13 and 11 kills respectively to lead the Hawks.
- Ciara Ortega tallied 25 assists, while Natalie Vega-Aponte finished with 21 digs.
