BANNER ELK, N.C. – No. 13 Belmont Abbey outscored the host Bobcats 13-1 in the second and third quarters and claimed 18 of 26 total faceoffs en route to clinching a 20-2 victory in the Conference Carolinas action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ryan Beauchamp and Mike Moore both scored for the Bobcats, with Ryan Bird and J.P. Daniels chipping in assists.
- Lees-McRae held the Crusaders' offense in check for the first 15 minutes, giving up only three goals on six shots on goal.
- Belmont Abbey responded in the second frame by tallying seven goals to only one goal for the Bobcats to claim a 10-1 lead at the halftime whistle.
- The Crusaders scored nine-unanswered goals before Lees-McRae scored a goal with 2:38 left in the contest.
- Antonio Cruz finished with a game-high 15 saves in net for the Bobcats.
- Belmont Abbey held a 35-15 edge in shots on goal and went 2 for 2 on extra-man opportunities.
FOR THE FOES:
- Noah Haas finished with five goals and three assists to pace the Crusaders, while Luke Spanier posted three goals and two assists.
- Thomas Sullivan and Ben Sabelhaus finished with 11 saves in net for Belmont Abbey
