BANNER ELK, N.C. – Mount Olive scored a first-half goal and held the host Bobcats scoreless for the full 90 minutes en route to claiming a 1-0 victory in the Conference Carolinas action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After Lees-McRae had its first scoring opportunity with a corner kick just over 1:19 into the contest, Mount Olive tallied four shots in an 18-minute stretch to test the Bobcat defense.
- The Trojans broke the deadlock in the 31st minute with a goal on a rebound off an initial shot.
- The Bobcats had one of its best scoring opportunities with only 19 seconds remaining as Taylor Barrineau had a shot hit the crossbar.
- Lees-McRae had a couple of scoring chances late but failed to break through the Mount Olive defense.
- Hope Sanborn finished with a game-high eight saves in net for the Bobcats.
- The Trojans held a 9-4 advantage in shots-on-goal and a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.
FOR THE FOES:
- Riley Baker scored the lone Trojan goal, while Taylor Lewis finished with four saves.
