Zeynep Cakirer and 
Tessa Wells posted victories in the singles competition, but it was not enough a host Catawba claimed a 5-2 over the visiting Bobcats in the non-conference match this afternoon.

RECORDS: Catawba (3-0), Lees-McRae (1-1)
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
	- Catawba posted three wins in the doubles competition to open the match.
 
	- Cakirer won the #2 singles with a 7-5, 6-4 win over the competition from Catawba.
 
	- The Bobcats closed out the afternoon with a 6-4, 7-6 win by Wells in the #6 singles spot.
 
 
UP NEXT: 
The Bobcats will open conference play at Chowan on Friday, March 19 for a 2 p.m. start.
