Natasha Colon Moreno, and
Olivia Ney combined for 42 kills, while
Carlee Allbaugh notched her sixth double-double of the season, to lift the Lees-McRae women's volleyball team to a thrilling four-set victory over visiting Converse in the team's first conference match of the season and home opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gilreath paced the Bobcats with a team-high 18 kills.
- Moreno and Ney chipped in 13 and 11 kills respectively, with Moreno also adding 13 digs.
- Allbaugh finished with 44 assists and a season-high 23 digs.
- Lauren Xayavong tallied a game-high 24 digs, while Kaden Hill added seven hills, two solo blocks and two block assists.
- Both teams traded points for the majority of the first set until a pair of late kills by Moreno and attacking errors by Converse gave the Bobcats a 29-27 edge in set one.
- The Valkyries rallied from a 5-0 early deficit to claim the second frame, 25-23.
- The Bobcats fed off the energy of the home fans to take a 21-14 edge in the third set and held on for a 25-23 win.
- Lees-McRae used a pair of kills by Gilreath in the fourth frame to take a commanding 21-9 lead and utilized a late kill by Mahealani Chun to clinch the conference win.
FOR THE FOES:
- Anna Rabon and Kiara Cannon tallied 15 and 11 kills respectively.
- Madison Gregory chipped 23 assists and 15 digs.
