FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. –
Tamino Brown scored his second goal of the season, off an assist by
Zach Aversano, with just under eight minutes remaining in the contest to lift the Lees-McRae men's soccer team to a thrilling 1-0 win over Emmanuel to extend their winning streak to five games. This is the longest winning streak for the men's soccer program since 2017.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae continued their recent trend of starting off strong by tallying a pair of shots-on-goal and three corners in the first 10 minutes of action.
- The Bobcats had two of their best scoring chances in the final 10 minutes of the first half as Brown had a shot in the top right saved, followed by a shot from Rickson Hill that hit the crossbar in the 41st minute.
- Emmanuel nearly shifted momentum in the opening minutes of the second frame with four shots in the first 15 minutes but the Bobcats' defense held strong to keep the score even.
- Lees-McRae finally broke through in the 82nd minute as Brown received a pass from Aversano and buried his second goal of the season into the bottom corner to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead.
- Joshua Garvilla needed to make only two saves to earn his second solo shutout of the season.
- The Bobcats held a 14-10 edge in shots and a 7-2 advantage in shots-on-goal.
