BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Lees-McRae women's soccer picked up the 2-0 victory this evening in Conference Carolinas play against King as Head Coach
Cally Morrill earned her 100
th career victory in her collegiate career and 50
th win while at the helm of the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Priscilla Mawi collected her third goal of the season in the sixth minute after a solid cross by Averee Andrews to open the scoring for Lees-McRae on Tate Field.
- The Bobcats continued the offensive pressure on King, but only scored one goal in the first half as the two sides went into the halftime break after 45 minutes.
- Hanna Davies found the back of the net for the Bobcats in the 61st minute of play off an assist by Alexa Todd as Lees-McRae held the 2-0 advantage with 30 minutes left in the contest.
- The Bobcats tallied three more shots on target in the remainder of the match as Brooke Allen, Haley Lowman, and Dahlia Bell all contributed shots on net.
- Lees-McRae held the commanding advantage on shots, 21-5 and shots on goal with eight to King's two.
- Mallory Roughton earned the clean sheet for the Bobcats as she collected two saves on the evening.
FOR THE TORNADO:
- Ariana Gallegos and Desi White each had shots on net for King, but were unable to find the back of the net.
- Kristal Garcia hauled in six saves for the Tornado, but allowed the two goals in 90 minutes of action.
NOTEWORTHY:
- After tonight's soccer doubleheader sweep, Lees-McRae holds the 3-1 advantage in the "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" with King in the 2022-23 season.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae returns to the pitch on Saturday afternoon when the Bobcats host Chowan at 1:30 p.m. in league play. The Lees-McRae women's soccer will also honor its three seniors prior to the match with
