Döring and Mudry Place Well to Lead Men's and Women's Cycling on Day Two of MTB Nationals

RESULTS
DURANGO, Colo. – Dominic Mudry and Maria Döring both registered sixth-place finishes on the day as Lees-McRae men's and women's cycling competed in the second day of the USAC Collegiate MTB Nationals in Colorado.

THE BASICS
RACE: 2022 USAC Collegiate MTB National Championships
LOCATION: Purgatory Resort – Durango, Colorado

NOTABLES:

Maria Döring led the Bobcats with a sixth-place finish in the XC Women's Varsity race after moving up four spots in the final lap of the race. Madysen Rails followed in 17^th place and Heidi Martin placed 37^th for the women's cyclists.
Ian McDonald paced the men's cyclists in the XC Men's Varsity race by finishing 17th, with Shay Wright, Cameron Locklear, and Josh Foley finishing 28th, 32nd, and 37th respectively this morning.
In the Dual Slalom competition, Dominic Mudry and Levi Smith qualified for the Round of 32 in 6^th and 26^th respectively on Thursday evening with Rails (11th), Döring (17th), Lauren Lopez (18th), and Gabby Vides-Barry (22nd) all qualifying for Friday's knockout rounds.
Mudry led the Bobcats in Dual Slalom with a sixth-place finish as he advanced into the final eight of the discipline before falling in two close heats.
Rails registered 12th place in the Dual Slalom finals on Friday evening.

The Bobcats will compete in Day 3 of the USAC Collegiate MTB National Championship starting tomorrow at 11:45 EDT with the STXC and Downhill races.
