Harrison Watts scored in the 58
th minute of action for Lees-McRae men's soccer, but Chowan answered in the 67
th minute of play as the two sides collected the 1-1 tie on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats looked to have the one-goal advantage with a little over 15 minutes to play in the first half after William Gakio found Watts for a goal, but a foul at midfield overturned the goal and kept the contest scoreless. The two squads went into the halftime break with neither side unable to find the back of the net.
- Watts buried his eighth goal of the season in the 58th minute after an assist by Brown as the Bobcats led 1-0 with 32 minutes of action remaining.
- Tren Drexhage for Chowan knotted the match at one goal in the 67th minute after a solid play by Ausa Omwenga.
- Lees-McRae and Chowan remained deadlocked at 1-1 to the end of the contest as the Bobcats registered one point in the Conference Carolinas standings.
- Watts had two shots on target as Jesper Jonsson and Brown each tallied a shot on net.
FOR THE HAWKS:
- Drexhage scored the lone goal for Chowan as he also had the lone shot on target for the Hawks.
- Charlie Farrar made three stops in goal for Chowan to clinch the 1-1 draw.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae heads to Due West, South Carolina for a league matchup with Erskine on Wednesday, Oct. 19. The kickoff is slated for a 3:30 p.m. start as part of a soccer doubleheader with the women's soccer team.
