DURANGO, Colo. –
Maria Döring earned first place in the Women's Individual Omnium, after finishing out the MTB National Championships in 13
th place in the Downhill Women's Collegiate discipline, to pace the Lees-McRae men's and women's cycling teams to a fourth-place finish overall in the team omnium.
Döring becomes the 60th national champion in program history and the Bobcats placed fourth in the team relay on Sunday afternoon.

RACE: 2022 USAC Collegiate MTB National Championships
LOCATIONS: Purgatory Resort – Durango, Colorado
NOTABLES:
- Lees-McRae men's and women's cycling placed fourth overall as the Bobcats completed the MTB National Championships one point short of Brevard College, who finished in third place.
- Döring led the Bobcats over the past few days in Colorado as the senior Business Administration major scored a sixth-place finish in the XC race on Friday and seventh place in the STXC race. Döring becomes the 60th national champion in program his
- Madysen Rails joined Döring with a fourth-place finish in the individual omnium after placing 17th in the Downhill Women's Collegiate on Sunday afternoon. Gabby Vides-Barry rounded out the Bobcats in the Top-20 while completing the course in 18th.
- For the men's cyclists, Levi Smith led the Bobcats with a 17th-place finish and Jack Gilbert followed in 19th. Dominic Mudry completed the Downhill Men's Collegiate discipline in 28th for Lees-McRae.
- In the team relay, Lees-McRae placed fourth overall with Ian McDonald and Josh Foley joining Döring and Rails for the podium finish.

- 3rd – Brevard
- 4th – Lees-McRae
- 5th – Western Colorado
UP NEXT:
The Bobcats will now look to the Cyclocross season, which will begin in a couple of weeks during the month of November. The CX Nationals is scheduled for Dec. 8 in Hartford, Connecticut.
