BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Lees-McRae women's soccer dropped a 4-3 decision to the visitors from Mount Olive this afternoon in Conference Carolinas action.

Gen Porsche, and
Alexa Todd all scored goals for the Bobcats in the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae collected the early lead after Porsche found the back of the net 53 seconds into the match after an assist by Todd and Taylor Barrineau.
- UMO knotted the score at one goal after Addison Dangler buried a goal in the 20th minute and the Trojans took the one-goal advantage after Delia Allwood scored the first of her three goals on the day.
- Mount Olive had the 3-1 advantage heading into the halftime break after Allwood scored again in the 35th minute with an assist by Tianna Hill.
- The Trojans added to their lead in the 73rd minute of play after Allwood recorded a hat trick, but the Bobcats made the contest interesting in the last 15 minutes of play.
- Hanson scored after being subbed on seconds prior in the 74th minute after a solid pass by Barrineau.
- Todd capitalized on a penalty shot five minutes later as Lees-McRae only trailed by one goal with a little over 10 minutes to play.
- UMO was able to hang onto the lead and took the 4-3 victory in the regular season finale for both teams.
- Mallory Roughton hauled in nine saves for the Bobcats in the match.
FOR THE TROJANS:
- Allwood registered a hat trick in 73 minutes of game action as the Trojan was efficient with three goals on three shots on goal.
- Nicole Solicito had two saves in the 4-3 victory for Mount Olive.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae women's soccer will now head into the Conference Carolinas Championships as the No. 4 seed and will host the winner of the Belmont Abbey/Chowan match. The Bobcats will host the quarterfinal match next Saturday at 2 p.m. from Tate Field.
