WISE, Va. -- Lees-McRae women's volleyball traveled to the campus of UVA Wise on Tuesday evening for a non-conference match with UVA Wise. UVA Wise took the match in three sets with
Sydney Stigler leading the Bobcats with eight kills and 14 digs.

FINAL SCORE: UVA Wise def. Lees-McRae, 3-0 (25-22, 26-24, 25-14)

RECORDS: Lees-McRae (7-20/6-10); UVA Wise (5-15/1-13)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Stigler paced the Bobcats in the contest with eight kills and 14 kills and Hailey Gilreath recorded seven kills on the night.
- Julia Emore, Destiny Holley, and Annalaine Tew all chipped in six kills for Lees-McRae in the non-conference bout.
- In the first set, the Bobcats held a 21-18 advantage before the Cavaliers knotted the set at 21 apiece and UVA Wise took the set at 25-22 after four consecutive points to close the set.
- The Bobcats battled in the second set after tying the score at 19-19 after a kill by Tew and a service ace by Madison Goins. Lees-McRae used another three-point swing to knot the score at 24 apiece, but the Cavaliers took the second set by a final of 26-24 after scoring the final two points.
- UVA Wise collected the three-set sweep after posting the 25-14 set win with the Bobcats only tallying seven kills in the final set.
FOR THE CAVALIERS:
- Bailey Connor led UVA Wise with 11 kills as Kaylee Scarce joined her double-digit kills with 10.
- Lily Gutierrez dished out a match-high 21 assists for the Cavaliers and Kamryn Livingston recorded 16 digs.

Lees-McRae returns to Conference Carolinas play on Friday, Oct. 28 when the Bobcats travel to the University of Mount Olive for a 7 p.m. match with the Trojans.
