Michael Marsans and
Max Kuntz combined for 14 kills, but it was not enough as visiting Emmanuel finished with a 7-2 advantage in service aces and tallied a .242 combined hitting percentage to clinch the straight-set sweep of the Bobcats in the Conference Carolinas match this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Marsans paced the Bobcats with a team-high nine kills to go along with a solo block and a service ace.
- Kuntz added five kills and three block assists, while Bradley Peters and Steven Nalls chipped in a team-high 19 assists and five digs respectively.
- Emmanuel sprinted out of the gates by scoring 12 of the first 19 points and used a pair of late 5-2 runs to clinch the first set, 25-19.
- Lees-McRae rallied in the second set and used a 6-3 run and a final kill by Kuntz to trim the deficit to 17-16.
- The Lions closed the set by scoring eight of the final 11 points to claim the frame, 25-19.
- Emmanuel opened on a 6-1 run to grab the momentum, but another late run by the Bobcats cut the lead to 22-17.
- Two late kills and a final Bobcat error gave the Lions a 25-18 win in the third and final set.
- Emmanuel held a slim 8-5 lead in blocks and a 31-22 edge in kills.
FOR THE FOES:
- Gustavo Cavalcanti finished with a match-high 11 kills to pace the Lions, while Henrik Westhoff added a match-high 26 assists.

The Bobcats will host Erskine tomorrow at 2 p.m. to close out the Conference Carolinas weekend.
