WILSON, N.C. –
Michael Marsans posted a match-high and season-high 29 kills, the most by a Bobcat since the 2015 season, while
Bradley Peters notched his fifth career double-double with 45 assists and a team-high 14 digs, to lead the Lees-McRae men's volleyball team to a thrilling five-set road win at Barton in the Conference Carolinas action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Marsans also finished with two service aces, a solo block, and seven digs, while Peters tallied four kills, a solo block, four block assists.
- Max Kuntz added seven kills, three assists, three service aces, and 10 digs, with Steven Nalls tallying 13 digs and five assists.
- Sebastian Heer finished with three kills, three solo blocks, and four block assists, while M.J. Doyle chipped in seven kills and four digs.
- Both Barton and Lees-McRae traded points for the majority of the first set until the Bobcats used a pair of Bulldog service aces and an ace by Kuntz to claim a 25-23 win in set one.
- Lees-McRae continued their momentum in the second set by using a setting error by Barton to take an early 12-7 lead and extended the advantage to 24-19 on an ace by Nicholas Brewster.
- Barton closed the set on a 10-3 run to clinch the second set, 29-27.
- The Bobcats rallied in the third set by using a pair of late kills by Marsans to clinch the third frame, 25-19.
- After Barton won the fourth set, 25-21, Lees-McRae rallied from a 13-11 deficit to extend the match.
- The Bulldogs and the Bobcats traded points until Marsans clinched his 29th kill and Peters tallied his second service ace of the match on back-to-back plays to give Lees-McRae the five-set win in the conference match.
- The Bobcats held a 12-9 advantage in total blocks and a slim 9-9 edge in service aces.
FOR THE FOES:
- Three Bulldogs finished with double-digit kills, led by Brandon Johnston with a team-high 21 kills.
- Seth Deppe added a match-high 55 assists, while Oscar Familia chipped in a team-high 10 digs.

The Bobcat will close out the Conference Carolinas weekend as they visit Mount Olive tomorrow at 11 a.m.
