Kalbie Grassett finished with a team-high four goals and notched her 100th-career draw control, which ranks fourth in program history, but it was not enough as visiting Tusculum outscored the Bobcats 15-3 in the first half en route to a 19-6 non-conference win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Grassett also chipped in two caused turnovers and a ground ball.
- Genesis Lutsky finished with two goals, an assist, four ground balls, and three draw controls, while Haley Donovan tallied five draw controls and two ground balls.
- Lees-McRae opened the scoring just under four minutes into the contest as Grassett scored her sixth goal of the season.
- Tusculum scored 11-unanswered goals to close out the first quarter to take a 11-1 at the first intermission.
- Grassett scored her seventh and eighth goal of the season in the second quarter, but the Pioneers held the momentum with a 15-3 lead at halftime.
- Tusculum outscored the Bobcats 4-3 in the final two quarters, with the three Bobcats goals going to Lutsky and Grassett, to clinch the non-conference win.
- Emily Davidson and McKenzie Mellen combined for nine saves in net for the Bobcats.
- Lees-McRae finished 12-17 on clear attempts.
FOR THE FOES:
- Tia Tuininga and Megann McKinney combined for nine goals and five assists to lead the Pioneers.

The Bobcats will host Mars Hill on Tuesday, March 1 for another non-conference contest starting at 5 p.m.
