Genesis Lutsky and
Kalbie Grassett scored twice, while
Haley Donovan finished with a career-high 15 draw controls, but it was not enough as visiting Mars Hill outscored the Bobcats 10-1 in the second half to clinch the 17-6 non-conference win this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lutsky also added four ground balls and three caused turnovers, while Grassett chipped in two ground balls and a draw control.
- Donovan finished with one goal and one assist, with Sarah Hepburn also scoring her first goal as a Bobcat.
- Neither team was able to break the deadlock for the first eight minutes of action, until Lutsky scored her fifth goal of the season to open the game's scoring.
- After Grassett scored her 10th goal of the season, Mars Hill scored the final two goals to even the score at the first intermission.
- The Lions extended the lead to 4-2 to open the second stanza, before Lutsky and Grassett scored to cut the lead to 5-4 and Hepburn scored with just 57 seconds remaining to trim the deficit to 7-5 at halftime.
- Mars Hill scored six unanswered goals to take a 13-5 lead into the fourth quarter.
- Donovan scored a goal on the extra-player opportunity to cut the lead to 13-6, before the Lions closed the contest with four unanswered goals to clinch the non-conference win.
- Emily Davidson and Mckenzie Mellen combined to make 10 saves in net for the Bobcats.
- Mars Hill held a 27-17 shots-on-goal advantage in the contest, while Lees-McRae won 16 of the 26 draw controls.
FOR THE FOES:
- Alexa Tazzetta and Kiersten Foust both scored four goals to lead the Lions.
- Lauren Bryner and Rebeca Sanchez combined for 11 saves in net for Mars Hill.
