WINGATE, N.C. – The doubles team of 
Sam Jones and 
Ezequiel Arce won their respective match, but it was not enough as nationally-ranked No. 20 Wingate won two of the three double matches and swept the singles matches en route to a 7-0 win over the visiting Bobcats in the non-conference match this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
	- Jones and Arce teamed up to win the #2 doubles match by a score of 6-4.
- Hanqing Wang won the second set of the #1 singles match, by the score of 6-3, against his counterpart from Wingate to force a tiebreaker set, before ultimately falling short by a 6-4 score in the final set.
- Jones also nearly won his No. 4 singles match, but ultimately fell short with a 7-5, 7-5 score.
UP NEXT:
The Bobcats will travel to Greenwood, South Carolinas on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. to face Lander in a non-conference match.
