Michael Marsans finished with a match-high 12 kills, while
Bradley Peters chipped in a team-high 26 assists, but it was not enough as host King held a 9-2 edge in service aces and a 5-1 advantage in blocks to clinch the three-set victory over the visiting Bobcats in the "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" match.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Marsans paced the Bobcats in kills and finished with a .217 hitting percentage.
- Max Kuntz added five kills and a block assist, while Nic Brewster and Marsans both finished with a team-high four digs.
- Lees-McRae and King traded points for the majority of the first set until a 7-1 run by the Tornado and a final kill gave King the 25-16 win in set one.
- The Bobcats shifted momentum early in the second set by claiming an early 10-7 lead, but the Tornado responded by scoring 11 of the next 14 points to reclaim an 18-13 lead.
- Lees-McRae trimmed the lead with a late run, but a final kill gave the Tornado a 25-17 win in the second stanza.
- King clinched the three-set sweep with a 25-21 win in set three.
FOR THE FOES:
- Suetonius Harris finished with a team-high 11 kills, while Jack Sarnowski chipped in a match-high 30 assists, to pace the Tornado.
NOTEWORTHY:
- With the win over the Bobcats, King claimed another point in the season-long "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup" competition between the two schools.
