COLUMBIA, S.C. –
Max Kuntz finished with a team-high 11 kills, while
Bradley Peters and
Isaac LaFunor chipped in 17 assists and 10 digs respectively, but it was not enough as Benedict finished with a 37-32 edge in kills en route to clinching the three-set win over the Bobcats in the non-conference match this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Kuntz led the Bobcats in kills with a .500 hitting percentage to go along with two service aces and two solo blocks.
- Peters also chipped in six kills and a solo block, while both Steven Nalls and M.J. Doyle added five kills, with Nalls also finishing with seven digs.
- Both Lees-McRae and Benedict traded points for the majority of the first set until the Tigers closed on a 13-7 run to claim a 25-19 win in set one.
- Benedict opened with a 11-6 run in the second set, but a 9-4 run by the Bobcats evened the score at 15-15.
- After another Tigers run, Lees-McRae used a kill by Peters and an attacking error by Benedict to even the score at 23-25.
- The Tigers tallied the final two points to win the frame, 25-23.
- Benedict closed out the non-conference win by winning the third set, 26-24.
- Lees-McRae held a slim 7-6 edge in service aces, while the Tigers finished with a 7-5 edge in total blocks.
FOR THE FOES:
- Ras Jesse Delancy finished with a match-high 11 kills, while Terran Walkin added 30 assists and 11 digs.
UP NEXT:
The Bobcats will visit Erskine on Friday at 7 p.m. and Emmanuel on Saturday at 2 p.m. as the team returns to Conference Carolinas action with a two-match road-trip.
