Kalbie Grassett,
Haley Donovan, and
Nim Castro combined for 10 goals, but it was not enough as visiting Emmanuel tallied six second-quarter goals and five third-quarter goals en route to clinching the 13-12 Conference Carolinas victory over the host Bobcats this afternoon on Tate Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Grassett scored a team-high five goals, while also tallying a game-high 10 ground balls, five caused turnovers and three draw controls.
- Donovan chipped in three goals, two ground balls, and seven draw controls, while Castro scored twice.
- Genesis Lutsky and Sarah Hepburn both also scored for the Bobcats.
- Lees-McRae opened the scoring as Grassett tallied three unanswered goals to give the Bobcats an early 3-0 lead at the midway point of the second quarter.
- Emmanuel responded by scoring five of the next six goals to take a 5-4 lead.
- Donovan scored twice, while Castro chipped in a goal on an extra-player opportunity as Lees-McRae held a 7-6 lead at halftime.
- The Lions outscored the Bobcats 5-2 in the third stanza, with the two goals going to Grassett and Hepburn, to hold an 11-9 lead at the final intermission.
- Grassett and Donovan scored to open the fourth quarter to even the score at 11-11 with 7:59 left.
- Emmanuel scored back-to-back goals and held off a late Bobcat rally, with a goal by Castro with 1:20 left, to clinch the conference win.
- Emily Davidson tallied a season-high 17 saves in net for the Bobcats.
FOR THE FOES:
- Bailie Garland and Justine Dorelas combined for 10 goals and an assist to pace the Lions.
- Laila Sampson and Madison Duncan combined for 11 saves in net.
