Haley Donovan finished with five draw controls en route to claiming her 100th-career draw control, while
Kalbie Grassett scored a team-high three goals, but it was not enough as visiting Newberry tallied six goals in both the first and third quarters to clinch a 19-4 non-conference win over the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Grassett also chipped in six draw controls and a ground ball, while Donovan added an assist, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
- Sarah Hepburn also scored for the Bobcats, with Melody Ripley added an assist.
- Newberry sprinted out of the gates with two goals in the first 43 seconds and extended it to 6-1 at the first intermission. Grassett scored the lone Bobcat goal unassisted.
- Hepburn cut the deficit to 6-2 by scoring just 19 seconds into the second quarter, while Grassett scored her second goal off an assist by Donovan to trim the lead to 6-3.
- The Wolves scored the final five goals of the second frame to take an 11-3 halftime lead.
- After Newberry scored the first two goals of the second half, Grassett scored her third goal off an assist by Ripley to cut the lead to 13-4.
- The Wolves scored the final six unanswered goals to clinch the non-conference win.
- Emily Davidson and Mckenzie Mellen combined for 11 saves in net for the Bobcats.
- Newberry held a 30-10 advantage in shots-on-goal and forced 23 Lees-McRae turnovers.
FOR THE FOES:
- Cassell Richardson, Marissa Plumer, and Chloe Wood all scored a game-high four goals to pace the Wolves.
- Nicole Harker finished with six saves in net for Newberry.
