FLORENCE, S.C. – The doubles team of
Anita Ivanova and
Nursharneem Shamsuddin won the #1 doubles match, while Ivanova, Shamsuddin, and
Rhidaim Yang all posted wins in their individual matches, but it was not enough as host Francis Marion clinched a 4-3 victory over the Bobcats in the Conference Carolinas match this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The doubles team of Ivanova and Shamsuddin clinched a 6-3 win in the #1 singles match.
- The duos of Mei Hiramatsu / Zeypnep Cakirer and Laura Ocampo / Yang both battled in their #2 and #3 doubles matches, but ultimately fell short in their matches.
- Ivanova clinched a 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) win in the #3 singles match, while Shamsuddin won the #4 singles match with a 6-3, 6-2 score.
- Yang posted a 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (9-7) win in the #5 singles match.
