About Michael Marsans…Marsans, a junior sports management major, is a first-time All-Conference Carolinas honoree and led both the nation and the Conference Carolinas with a 5.23 kills/set average this season and ranks fifth in the nation with 392 kills during his junior season. His 392 kills is tied for the second most kills in a single season in program, while his 5.38 kills/set during the regular season is the highest kills/set average in program history. In addition to finishing with 20+ kills in nine matches this season, Marsans also tallied a combined 21 service aces, 91 digs, five solo blocks, and 15 block assists during the season.
The Bobcats closed out their season with a 8-15 overall record (4-10 in the Conference Carolinas) to earn the No. 7 seed in the postseason tournament, before falling short against No. 6 Belmont Abbey in the first round. Lees-McRae also posted a 7-5 record on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court this season.
