SUMTER, S.C. – The doubles team of
Laura Ocampo and
Rhidaim Yang clinched a victory in the #3 doubles match, while
Anita Ivanova, Yang, and Ocampo all posted wins in their respective singles matches, but it was not enough as No. 7 Belmont Abbey clinched the doubles point and won three singles matches en route to claiming a 4-3 win in the first round of the Conference Carolinas postseason tournament this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ocampo and Yang teamed up to clinch a 6-4 win in the #3 doubles match to clinch their 10th doubles victory of the season.
- Ivanova posted a 6-1, 7-5 win in the #3 singles match to clinch her 11th victory overall this season, while Yang clinched a 6-3, 6-3 win in the #5 singles match for her 10th win this season.
- Ocampo won the #6 singles match by a score of 6-1, 6-3 to notch her ninth victory overall this season.
